Official Contest Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1 HOW TO ENTER
a. The Lincoln Mercury Summer Drive contest will begin on Monday, July 9, 2007 at 8:00am and end on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at 11:59:59pm (the “Contest Period”). Each Monday through Sunday period throughout the Contest Period will herein be referred to as an Entry Period.
b. To participate in the contest, you may enter via the following method(s): During each Entry Period, log on to any of the following CBS Radio New York websites: www.wcbs880.com, www.ilikejack.com, www.wfan.com, www.923krock.com, www.1010wins.com, www.fresh1027.com. during the dates of the contest and complete and submit an on-line entry form. Enter your first name and last name, complete address, city, state, zip code, home telephone number, date of birth and a valid email address in the online entry form. Only one Internet entry per person and one Internet entry per email address is permitted. Internet entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an Internet access provider, online serve provider or other organization that is responsible by assigning email address or the domain associated with the submitted email address. CBS Radio is not responsible for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the Internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches. All entries must be received by 11:59:59pm on. Sunday to be eligible for the following Monday’s drawing. Any entry received after this time will be considered ineligible. Entries that do not comply with these rules will not be eligible for the competition. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means will be void.
c. A listener may enter a maximum of six times each Entry Period. However, each entry must be on a different CBS Radio New York website.
d. For purposes of these Official Rules, “receipt” of any online entry will be solely determined when the respecitve CBS Radio New York’s website server records the entry data. Any automated computer form reply or receipt (such as one confirming delivery of email) does not constitute actual receipt by CBS Radio New York of an entry form for purposes of these Official Rules.
2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS
a. The contest is open to all CBS Radio listeners who are 18 years of age or older and who legally reside in Connecticut, New York or New Jersey. Employees of Lincoln Mercury, WCBS, WCBS-FM, WFAN, WINS, WWFS, and WXRK (collectively, “CBS Radio New York”), their licensees, their corporate parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, its advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win.
b. Only one winner per household is permitted in any Station contest.
c. Contestants are required to provide truthful information and CBS Radio will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. CBS Radio will disqualify any entry from individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements, and will also delete any entry received from persons under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
3. PRIZES
a. Weekly Prizes: Seven (7) weekly prizes will be awarded. Each winner will receive a $100 BP gas card valid at any BP in the tri-state area. Winners will be subject to the terms and conditions as set forth by the provider of the cards.
b. Grand Prize: One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive a trip for two for five days/four nights to The Breakers in Palm Beach, FL, standard double occupancy hotel accomodations and coach class airfare included. Winner will be selected randomly from all eligible entries over the seven week contest period. A value of: $2,500. Trip will be arranged with the WCBS-AM Station Operations Manager. Travel companions of winner must travel with winner on the same travel itinerary. Travel companion of the prizewinner must be 18 years of age or older. Winner and travel companion are solely responsible for obtaining travel insurance (and all forms of insurance) where applicable, at their option, and hereby acknowledge that CBS Radio New York has not and will not obtain or provide travel insurance or any other form of insurance. Any winners of certificates/vouchers will be subject to the terms and conditions as set forth by the provider of the certificate/voucher. Grand prize winner and travel companion are solely responsible for all applicable taxes including but not limited to hotel, hospitality and airport taxes, telephone charges, meals, gratuities, ground transportation and any other expenses not specifically offered herein. Grand prize winner may be required to present a valid credit card upon hotel check-in to cover incidental expenses incurred during stay. Other restrictions may apply. All travelers must possess required travel documents (e.g. valid photo I.D.) prior to departure. Blackout dates may apply.
c. All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up at the office of WCBS(AM) at the address below. The winner will forfeit any prize or prize certificate not claimed within ten (10) days of winning. In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss. CBS Radio New York is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.
d. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply.
4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
a. Decisions of CBS Radio New York management with respect to the contest are final.
b. Each Monday during the Contest Period, one (1) weekly prize winner will be randomly selected from among all eligible entries received during the previous Monday through Sunday Entry Period. A total of seven (7) weekly winners will be selected.
c. On August 27, 2007 at approximately 11:00am, one (1) grand prize winner will be selected from among the seven (7) weekly winners.
d. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received.
e. Winner does not need to be present or be listening to win. Winners will be notified by the WCBS-AM Stations Operations Manager. If winners can not be notified within ten (10) days, a new winner will be selected from among the remaining eligible entries.
5. CONDITIONS
a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners. Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.
b. By participating in the contest, the winner or winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.
c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, CBS Radio New York in its sole discretion may require contest winners (and their travel companions, if any) to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold CBS Radio New York, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.
d. CBS Radio New York, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of any of the CBS Radio New York’s Web Sites or is otherwise in violation of the rules. It further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
e. CBS Radio New York reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. CBS Radio New York is not responsible for any air traffic or other travel delays, cancellations, postponements, overbooking or rescheduling due to any problem beyond its control.
f. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification solely at the discretion of CBS Radio New York.
g. CBS Radio New York is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest, or in the announcement of a prize.
h. Copies of the written contest rules and a list of winners (when complete) are available during regular business hours at the main studio of any of the CBS Radio New York Stations:
