Radio veteran Delphine Blue is live in the JACK studios each weekday from 4PM-7PM, providing need-to-know information during evening drive to JACK FM listeners. Blue provides two thirty-second reports an hour that include everything from traffic conditions to weather to all the "must know" information during the commute home. These updates show how JACK FM continues to keep its promise of no annoying DJ's, just hosts that offer the basic necessities for our listeners.
Delphine Blue is a twenty year veteran of the New York radio scene starting out in the early 80’s as a club DJ during the heyday of clubs like The Ritz, Danceteria and The Palladium. She got her start in radio on WLIR in 1985. In 1986 her program Shocking Blue debuted on WBAI and was virtually an institution of New York Progressive radio. Next, she was a fulltime air personality on WFUV before moving to Sirius Satellite Radio’s Sirius Disorder and Left of Center. Delphine continues to host Shocking Blue on eastvillageraadio.com, WPS1.org and back at WBAI. She does commercial voiceover work and has also been involved in creating runway soundtracks for the Seventh on Sixth fashion event in Bryant Park as well as music supervision for film and commercials.
